This is the perfect hotel for a nervous first-time traveler to Guatemala. We were not, but the owner/staff will do anything to make your stay enjoyable.... We would return. Friends of ours followed us. They had the same experience...

The furnishings (colorful handmade textiles and handcarved woods) and bathrooms are of high quality. The staff seemed like friends by the end of our 5 days with them. With refined courtesy, there was nothing, small or large that they would not do for us...

The common areas and the rooms were immaculate and the people were very kind and helpful...The breakfast was terrific and they had a rooftop patio that had wonderful views of the volcanoes.

We stayed at Candelaria for five days with a party of ten people. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and comfortable, and the staff is extremely polite and accommodating. They make you feel like a guest in their own home. The hotel is close to the central plaza, but far enough to be away from the traffic and noise of the city center. The courtyard has a fountain and beautiful plants, with chairs placed around to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. The rooftop terrace is beautiful and is a wonderful place to unwind after a busy day of sightseeing. It also has several interior rooms and lounges for sitting or socializing. This is a perfect place for a family gathering. If you need anything, the staff will go out of their way to help.

My two daughters and I stayed for 11 days in this wonderful hotel. We were charmed by everything - location, staff, serenity, beauty... You will not feel like a tourist. You will feel like a guest in all ways.

Amazing Hotel, Candelaria Antigua Hotel is very clean and safe. A short walking distance to Central Park. Spectacular views from the rooftop. Great service!
